TROUBLESHOOTING
RECORDING PROCEDURE OF THE SAVED PARAMETERS OF THE CVT HYDRAULIC CONTROL SYSTEM
TARGET
After initialization, the memory of the control unit CVT-ECU does not contain any stored data. This may reduce the quality of switching. The procedure for recording the saved parameters (training procedure) is presented below.
PURPOSE OF DIAGNOSTICS
ALARM FAULT WARNINGS
NORMAL PANEL DEVICES
If a fault has occurred in the CVT variator system, one of the alarms (“R”, “N”, “D”, “Ds”, “L” or “A”) of the selector lever position indicator flashes (once every two seconds) located on the multifunction display.
NOTE:
• The “P” warning lamp on the selector lever position indicator does not flash when a CVT fault has occurred.
• With a normally functioning system, the selector lever position indicator indicator “A” does not turn on. It may flash only when a system fault occurs. A quick (once per second) flashing of the selector lever position indicator alarms indicates that the CVT fluid has overheated. (Flashing starts when the temperature of the working fluid rises to approximately 138 ° C or higher and stops automatically when the temperature of the working fluid drops below 135 ° C)
PANEL INSTRUMENTS WITH HIGH CONTRAST IMAGE
If a fault occurs in the CVT system, the symbol (A) is displayed on the multifunction display screen. If the symbol (A) is displayed on the multifunction display for a long time, check for the presence of fault codes in the system memory.
A symbol (B) displayed on the multifunction display indicates that the CVT fluid is overheating. (The symbol (B) is displayed when the temperature of the working fluid rises to approximately 138 ° C or higher and automatically ceases to be displayed when the temperature of the working fluid falls below 135 ° C)
PROCEDURE FOR READING THE TROUBLE CODE
Use M.U.T.-III to read diagnostic codes (See GROUP 00 - How to use the Fault Detection System / Maintenance Operations).
PROCEDURE FOR DELETING TROUBLE CODE
Use the M.U.T.-III instrument to remove the diagnostic codes (See GROUP 00 - How to use the fault detection system / Maintenance operations).
