In 2011, the second generation Chevrolet Cobalt was introduced, which received a refreshed appearance, upgraded engines and modern gearboxes. The novelty began to be equipped with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine, which, thanks to the automatic control system, consumed no more than 6.5 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers in mixed mode. Another feature of this car was the digital instrument panel, which was already available in the basic version. An excellent combination of the versatility of using the car, the good technical characteristics of the Chevrolet Cobalt, its affordable price and stylish appearance have consistently made this model popular with buyers.

The front part of the Chevrolet Cobalt is decorated quite originally, in particular, large-sized diamond-shaped headlights are used here, which go deep into the wings. The radiator grille is also interestingly designed, which has two cutouts, and the lower cutout is noticeably larger in size. Large foglights are located in the front bumper, only emphasizing the dynamism and style of this car. In the back of the Cobalt, the features of the Opel Signum are visible, on the basis of which this car is made. In general, the appearance of the Chevrolet Cobalt is quite original, while this did not scare off potential buyers of this budget universal car.

This car received one version of the power unit – a one and a half liter gasoline engine that develops 106 horsepower. There is no need to expect special dynamics from such a motor, but in the city its power is more than enough for comfortable operation of this car. We also note good fuel efficiency indicators, in the combined cycle the car consumed no more than 7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. In the basic version, this engine is paired with a manual transmission, while for a surcharge it was possible to pick up a six-speed automatic. The presence of such a 6-mortar favorably distinguishes this car from competitors, while other models offered only outdated 4-speed automatics.

Benefits of the Chevrolet Cobalt

  1. Unusual appearance of the car.
  2. The versatility of using the machine.
  3. Good reliability.
  4. Affordable cost of the basic configuration.

Disadvantages of the Chevrolet Cobalt

  1. Inexpensive finishing materials in the cabin.
  2. The high cost of top trim levels.
  3. Rigid suspension.
  4. The high cost of car maintenance.
